High performer: the engine: Superbike splendor meets roadster punch. With torque-optimized 170 hp.

M Quick action throttle: Dynamic and ergonomic: The M Quick action throttle allows for outstanding dosing and a stable power development without the need to change your grip position.

Ultra-sporty: Tinted Sport windscreen: The S 1000 R Sport with the Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow paint has a dynamic look. Tinted windscreen is not available in the U.S.

Unmistakable: Dual-flow LED headlight: The Splitface LED headlight and the R logo create a uniquely imposing aesthetic.

Short license plate carrier: Sporty, short, compact: the license plate carrier for dynamic Roadsters.

Titanium sports silencer: For a sportier sound and less weight.

M Endurance chain: 46 teeth for a big impact: the optional M Endurance chain with a short secondary gear ratio is highly effective and requires little maintenance.

Power. Visible.: Screams pure performance, even from afar: The dynamic front with the unmistakeable Splitface design and dual-flow LED headlights. The Headlight Pro can illuminate everything you need to see.

Dynamics at its best: The weight? No contest. Including M package, it is optimized down to the last ounce – from 432 lbs. Even when fully equipped and with a full tank, it remains under 441 lbs.

Right up to the limit: The drive goes right up to the limit. Races straight off from neutral. Lets off a superbike firework all the way up to its maximum 12,000 rpm. Remains controllable thanks to three lean angle-dependent riding modes. The short secondary gear ratio makes the R a sprinter that doesn’t want to be overtaken. The M Quick action throttle allows for precise control, without the need to change your grip position. The optional Pro Riding Modes also give you full control over all control systems.

Dress code: Rigorous: We don’t do things by halves – maybe only with the aggressive Splitface design. The S 1000 R delivers on what its appearance promises.

M: A letter that represents racing, power, and enthusiasm better than any other. The R comes with the M Quick action throttle as standard. You can also add individual M optional accessory, such as the M forged wheels or M Lightweight battery to enhance the performance according to your preferences.

R: Minimalist front, unmistakeable with its Splitface design and the R between its “eyes”. Aggressive, compact rear, perfect for performance enthusiasts. Pure dynamics in typical roadster proportions. A large R can also be seen on the side trim panel, automatically drawing a maximum of respect.

Driven by adrenaline: Front wheel-optimized sitting position – on the attack. At the same time, you can keep everything under control thanks to the double-adjustable handlebar clamp and three different seat heights, among other features. As versatile and precise as ever. The extreme sportiness doesn’t mean it’s unsuitable for touring. On the contrary: equipment options like the luggage rack or the navigation preparation invite you to go on adrenaline-packed trips.
