DESCRIPTION:We like motorcycle movies but we rarely\, if ever\, get to see them on the big screen. We don’t have the A/V setups of modern multiplexes but we’ve got some gear to make it a bit more fun to watch moto movies. Plus it’s just better to watch motorcycle movies with other riders. \nSo we’re gonna setup a big screen\, pop some popcorn and invite all of you to join us for an evening viewing of: THE UNRIDEABLES. If you’ve never seen this film but are a fan of road racing\, you’re in for a treat. As summarized on the world wide web. \nThe 1980s were a high point of factory involvement in Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Suzuki\, Honda and Yamaha battled for technological dominance in the high-powered world of 500cc two-stroke racers – and to ride these beasts they employed the very best riders in the world. The likes of Rainey\, Schwantz\, Lawson and Mamola struggled to tame the raw power and brutal handling of bikes built without constraints and without any of the modern rider aids which make today’s MotoGP four-stroke machines seem bland in comparison. The riders might have been paid handsomely for their efforts but\, as this film shows\, they paid a heavy price for their fame and stardom. With loads of great action shots from the archives and revealing\, frank interviews with many of the top riders this incredible documentary looks at the men who had to ride the unrideables. \nWe’ll have the shop open late and the movie will start at 7:00pm. Then we’ll kick everyone out around 9pm. Should be a fun evening!

DESCRIPTION:We’re going hard into the Triumph Motorcycle world and hosting the Triumph demo rig on Saturday June 17th from 9am – 6pm. We’ll be offering demo rides on a WHOLE bunch of new Triumph motorcycles on a first come\, first served basis so plan to get here early if there’s a particular model you want to experience. \nIn addition to a whole bench of demo ride opportunities\, we’ll also be grilling up some lunch grub and offering some in-store\, one-day specials to those that swing by. It’s gonna be a good day to be as SoSo Tacoma! \nAll demo ride participants must have a valid motorcycle license and their riding gear including a DOT-approved helmet\, gloves\, boots\, jacket and pants. If you don’t have all that gear\, we can help with that! Also\, all demo ride participants must complete a Borrowed Vehicle Agreement and take responsibility for the motorcycle while it’s in their possession. It doesn’t happen often but we want to be very upfront about the demo ride deal. If you bin it\, you buy it… Or at least the damaged bits and labor to replace them. \nOkay enough of the disclaimer stuff. Look forward to seeing you at our first (but not last) Triumph demo event on June 17th!

SUMMARY:Luca's 2023 Ride to Cambria - Concord\, CA
DESCRIPTION:Basic Itinerary: \nFRIDAY MAY 19th \nThe route on Friday will take us past Mt Diablo on Marsh Creek Road and then into the hills above San Jose on Calaveras road.  A brief stint on the 101 will be followed by the Airline Highway (25) past the Pinnacles. Then we’ll head west on 198 into the Lake San Antonio/Lake Nascimento area before we wind our way into Paso Robles. From there\, we’ll hop onto 46 west for the last dash into Cambria.  Total mileage will be about 290. \nMeet at SoSo Cycles Concord at 9:00am \nDepart SoSo Cycles Concord at 9:30am \nRide to lunch\, then on to Cambria \nCheck in at Castle Inn at Cambria \nDinner at Moonstone Bar and Grill \n  \nSATURDAY MAY 20th \nWe’ll depart the hotel around 8 and ride south on the 101 To Morro Bay for breakfast. Then out to San Luis Obispo before we jump on Highway 58 past Soda Lake out to Buttonwillow. At Buttonwillow\, we’ll gas up and head back\, taking a detour (hard packed dirt\, or paved) to Soda Lake. From there we’ll head back across 58 and up to Paso Robles for a late lunch. After that we’ll head back to the coast and take a spin up the 1 as far as we can before heading back to the hotel. \nMeet for ride to breakfast at Morro Bay at 8:00am \nRide to lunch in Paso Robles \nBack to hotel in Cambria \nDinner at TBD \n  \nSUNDAY May 21st \nSunday there is no guided ride to find your way home. However\, a group of us will be heading back through the Lake Nascimento hills and taking Carmel Valley Road to grab lunch in Monterey before heading home. \nBreakfast at Moonstone Bar and Grill \nRide home at your leisure. \n  \nContact Luca at luca.r@sosocycles.com or call him at (925) 954-4084 to learn more and/or sign-up. \nAll participants are responsible for paying for their own fuel\, food and lodging but there will be no additional cost for this event.
